10. Scroll and Key

Scroll and Key was established in 1842 at Yale University making the club the second oldest within the institute’s walls. Although the most prominent club at the University is Scull and Bones, a club with world-reputation, Scroll and Key has risen up offering financial donations to the institute that facilitates the club, and at present time have a surpassing hall, not just comparing to Scull and Bones but to most halls exclusive University clubs have.

9. Order of Angell

The order of Angell was formed in coordination with the University of Michigan Principality in 1902. Although the order’s leader refuses the term ‘secret’ as accurate at describing the club’s activities, little is known about their mission. Former United States President Gerald Ford was a member during his University years.

8. Seven Society

Established in 1905 at Virginia University, Seven Society is considered to be one of the most secretive orders among all clubs facilitated in educational institutions based in the United States. The identities of their members remain undisclosed upon the time of their death, similarly to the practice Freemasons follow. In order to contact the order one should place a letter on the statue of Thomas Jefferson located in the University’s plaza.

7. Quill and Dagger

Having been founded in 1893 in Cornell University, Quill and Dagger is considered to be one the most prestigious secret societies facilitated in American institutions. Its activities remain concealed, while obtaining membership is considered to be more than just difficult.

6. The Black and White Society

The is no information available for Harvard’s Black and White Society. We do not know when it was established, if there are permanent members or not, and if those members meet more often than once a year, when the order holds its annual ball. Unlike other University societies, even Orders outside the walls of educational institutions in the United States, The Black and White Society operates in a far more elitist manner, inviting only the ‘cream of crop’ to its annual ball. Three hundred individuals receive invitations, and all information of what is been done during the ball remains concealed. The Black and White Society seems to have more similarities to the Bilderberg Group rather any other secret order out there.

5. Skull and Bones

Founded in 1832, Skull and Bones is Yale’s most notable secret society often linked with conspiracy theories. 4. Grand Lodge of Virginia

Established in 1778, the Grand Lodge of Virginia is the oldest independent from the British Colonialism Masonic Grand Lodge in the United States with more than 32,000 members in around 300 lodges around the State. Masons have been linked with several conspiracy theories over the centuries although there is no solid evidence of their involvement to such activities.

3. Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn

The Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn or simply the Golden Dawn was established in the late 19th century and has its origins in the Freemasonry. The main differentiation from the Masonic organization is that Golden Dawn allowed women in its ranks as equals to the men of the Order. Its members are developing their skills in Alchemy, Astrology, Thelma and other ‘arts’ through a hierarchical system nearly identical to the Masonic. I know what you’re thinking, but no. Anton’s LaVey Church of Satan established in 1966 has nothing to do with theist Satan worshipers. In fact the International organization based in New York is an atheist, individualistic organization that rejects the belief of the existence of anything supernatural, including the existence of soul and afterlife.
