Opened in 1987, George R. Brown is conveniently located at the Downtown Houston, which is well connected from the key points of the city. Named after a prominent philanthropist and civic leader, the Houstonian George R. Brown, the convention center has organized events of international standards. Since inception, the conference hall with its magnificence exhibition space has managed conferences, meetings, and tradeshows with equal élan. The 3,600-seat General Assembly Theater is used to host concerts, Broadway shows and many more.
