10 Best Places To Live For People with Eczema, Psoriasis, and Dry Skin

Skin conditions are uncomfortable, and in order to have the highest quality of life, you should probably take a look at the best places to live for people with eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin.

Your skin is primarily affected by the environment you’re in and the weather. When it’s cold outside, I, personally, get very dry skin that’s pretty uncomfortable and not a lot of fun to deal with. I already have sensitive skin, so it’s exacerbated by stark changes in weather. Traffic and high pollution tend to make my skin break out as well because the air isn’t too terribly clean. Fortunately, that’s something to which I adjust fairly well. The weather, however, is not something skin tends to get used to, and dry, cold air causes dry skin. It’s like when you’re on a plane for a long time your skin starts to feel like a desert.

Eczema and psoriasis are characterized by dry, itchy rashes on the skin and can be extremely uncomfortable. They’re both much more common in people who have it in their genetics, so it’s not something that’s caused by environmental factors, but it’s certainly exacerbated by them. Many conditions are like this, which is why we also compiled the best places to live with arthritis and fibromyalgia. The common thread in lists like these is that the weather conditions should be temperate and not too dry, so certainly there will be a lot of similarities in that regard.

In order to create this list, we used our previous list of the cities with the best climate in the world year-round. We already know that the cold and dry weather affects people with eczema, psoriasis, and dry skin, so we found the average humidity for each place with the best climate and sorted them using that factor. The places with the highest percentage of humidity year-round are at the top of our list.
