BlackBerry Q10 Smartphone: What Next For The Research In Motion BlackBerry Q10?

BlackBerry Q10 Smartphone: With some momentum at it back, it is safe to say that Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry is interested in pushing its new Q10 smartphone out in as many markets as possible.

While this doesn’t mean the company is going to rush things, we can expect to hear more news on release dates for the BlackBerry device in the weeks to come.

Research in Motion Ltd. (BBRY)To bring you up to speed, the Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry Q10 first became available in the UK a couple weeks back. And not only was it made available for purchase, but it was snatched up at a record pace.

Toronto, Canada was next, and the phone sold at a high rate in this city as well.

Now, it appears that the BlackBerry Q10 is going to be making its ways to Malaysia next. This may not be what many consumers were expecting, but it is the move the smartphone company appears to be making.

Before we go any further, it is important to note that Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry is launching the Q10 at a faster rate than the Z10.

According to a report by CrackBerry, “Celcom Malaysia has opened up their pre-registration page for those interested in the device and is currently offering some additional incentives to go along with it.”

As you can see, the phone is not yet for sale in Malaysia, however, Celcom is taking pre-registration to ensure that interested consumers get exactly what they want.

Giving the Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) Q10 a boost will be the incentives offered by Celcom. For example, those who register now are “eligible to receive a free Bluetooth speaker and an additional RM200 rebate which works out to a discount of RM20 for 10 months off your monthly bill when choosing a qualifying plan.”

The release date for the BlackBerry Q10 in this country is May 15th.

For those who want to learn more about this offer, direct from Celcom, you don’t have to look any further than the company’s corporate website. It is here that all the information can be found, along with locations for picking up any device that has been pre-ordered.

At this point, there is one big question to answer: will the Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry Q10 sell as well in Malaysia as it has in other parts of the world? If so, the company will be able to keep some of its momentum.
