Smart money investors from our database seem cautious towards General Mills, Inc. (NYSE:GIS) as they amassed only 1.20% of the company’s stock at the end of June. Although the number of funds increased to 27 from 24 during the second quarter, the total value of their holdings in the stock fell to $404.77 million from $423.29 million. Mario Gabelli‘s GAMCO Investors increased its position by 2% over the quarter to 2.56 million shares, while Cliff Asness’ AQR Capital Management raised its holding by 3% to 933,771 shares. Going the other way was Ken Griffin’s Citadel Investment Group, which cut its stake by 23% to 1.41 million shares, and Phill Gross and Robert Atchinson’s Adage Capital Management, which reduced its position by 41% to 259,126 shares.
