The companies were ranked according to the total number of jobs listings opened this winter season and the figures used were taken from the statistics issued earlier this month by Forbes Magazine.
The top industries hiring new staff right now are, in order, retail, information technology, leisure and hospitality, and financial services. In fact, nine out of the ten companies listed are from the retail industry. Most of the companies on our list are willing to hire college students or people without previous work experience, so people looking for their first job this winter holiday have high chances of getting employed. The average hourly salary for the jobs listed below is around $10 per hour, which is not particularly high, but it is still more than the minimum wage.
