10 Stocks That Could Skyrocket in 2027

SpaceX’s public debut in June gave investors a new yardstick for how fast a space-linked stock can move, in both directions. Since then, shares of newer space companies have swung hard around SpaceX’s latest report.

Yahoo Finance reported on October 21 that SpaceX opened with its biggest jump since the debut, after third-quarter revenue and profit beat Wall Street estimates. The company’s AI business now brings in nearly half of its sales.

Space Stocks Rally, Then Give It Back

The move spread beyond SpaceX itself. Intuitive Machines and Firefly Aerospace led the group higher that morning, while Rocket Lab and AST SpaceMobile trailed, according to Yahoo Finance. The typical newer space stock had fallen about 26% in October up to that point. Jared Blikre, Yahoo Finance’s global markets and data editor, noted that earlier share unlocks had barely dented SpaceX, and that holding above $150 through the next one would show buyers absorbing the new supply comfortably.

Readers who follow this corner of the market can find more small names in our list of penny stocks tipped to climb in 2026.

The gains did not last. Yahoo Finance said on October 23 that a Thursday sell-off wiped out Wednesday’s 9% jump, as worries grew that the AI trade had run ahead of itself. Another large batch of insider shares had also become eligible for sale.

A Tesla Tie-Up Could Reshape Musk’s Orbit

Elon Musk said on the earnings call that SpaceX and Tesla have each formed special committees of independent directors to study a combination, and that he cannot take part in the decision as a conflicted party, Yahoo Finance reported. Gene Munster of Deepwater Asset Management puts the odds of a deal within two years at 95%. A merged company would be worth about $3.5 trillion.

Starlink drives the numbers. Connectivity revenue rose 69% to $5.2 billion, and President Gwynne Shotwell said the service added 1.6 million subscribers in the quarter. Bloomberg reported that SpaceX is seeking to lease space on 80,000 US cell sites to build a terrestrial network, and is in talks with Crown Castle and American Tower.

For a look at how the smaller rival compares, see our piece on how SpaceX stacks up against Rocket Lab.

Spending is rising too. Chris Versace of Tematica Research wrote on October 21 that SpaceX’s plan to spend $35 billion to $40 billion in the fourth quarter points to a new and higher level of capital spending than the market expected. He noted that a $63 billion backlog supports it.

Our Methodology

To compile this list, we reviewed Stock Gumshoe’s analyses of stock teasers from newsletter publishers such as Agora and Stansberry over the past three months. We tallied how often each revealed stock was teased, focusing on promotions that hinted at potential 10x or 100x returns. We picked the 10 most-teased and ranked them in ascending order of upside potential, as of November 4, 2026. We also list hedge fund holders as of Q2 2026 from our database of over 1000 hedge funds. These stocks are also popular among elite hedge funds that we track.

Why are we interested in the stocks that hedge funds pile into? The reason is simple: our research has shown that we can outperform the market by imitating the top stock picks of the best hedge funds. Insider Monkey’s quarterly newsletter strategy selects 14 small-cap and large-cap stocks every quarter and has returned 599.2% since May 2014, beating its benchmark by 372 percentage points (see more details here).

10 Stocks That Could Skyrocket in 2027

10. Ormat Technologies (NYSE:ORA)

Average Upside Potential: 27%

Number of Teases: 1

Number of Hedge Fund Holders: 32

A drilling project in Utah sits at the center of Dylan Jovine’s pitch for Ormat Technologies, and he argues early buyers could see gains of 1,000% or more. Jovine, who writes the Behind the Markets newsletter, points to a Department of Energy drilling effort that Google, Berkshire Hathaway and the Pentagon have all backed with money. Ormat is the company he says stands at the center of it.

Ormat designs and builds geothermal and recovered-energy power plants in more than 30 countries and operates plants of its own, including in Kenya, Guatemala and the United States. Jovine’s ad says revenue just reached $990 million, close to $1 billion for the first time, with management guiding to more than $1.1 billion next year. It adds that energy storage sales more than doubled in a quarter and that the backlog of signed but undelivered contracts jumped nearly 80%.

He also notes that Ormat won exclusive rights this year to build the first commercial plant using a next-generation technology backed by Meta. Our earlier reporting on what Google’s Fervo deal could mean for geothermal gives the wider picture.

9. TransMedics Group (NASDAQ:TMDX)

Average Upside Potential: 34%

Number of Teases: 1

Number of Hedge Fund Holders: 33

Emmet Savage of MyWallSt calls TransMedics the third of his three potential 100-baggers, and says the company has built something close to a monopoly on keeping human organs alive for transplant. His pitch, delivered alongside Porter Stansberry, centers on a machine that replaces the 50-year-old ice-bucket method for moving donor organs.

TransMedics sells separate portable systems that keep a heart, lungs or a liver working outside the body, with a kidney system heading into clinical trials. Savage says revenue is growing 100% while the rest of the medical sector is flat. He points out that the company flies organs on its own fleet of aircraft, which he sees as a second business sitting on top of the devices.

The argument is that this combination of devices and logistics works as a high-margin engine that is quietly taking over a $10 billion industry. Savage says the company has no competition in the FDA-approved market for these systems. Once more investors notice how hard that position would be to copy, he thinks the stock could become a massive winner. He describes it as a business that has essentially built a monopoly on life itself.
