On May 21, 2026, Zai Lab Limited (NASDAQ:ZLAB) announced senior leadership changes aimed at improving operational performance and efficiency. As part of the changes, the Board decided that Josh Smiley, President and COO, will no longer be with the company, effective May 22. Zai Lab also said it expects multiple clinical data readouts in 2026 for its lead global investigational therapies, including zoci in first-line ES-SCLC and extrapulmonary NECs, and ZL-1503, while preparing for the launch of COBENFY in China and other regional regulatory approvals and data readouts.

On May 11, 2026, Zai Lab Limited (NASDAQ:ZLAB) announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration granted Fast Track Designation to zocilurtatug pelitecan, its potential first-in-class DLL3-targeting antibody-drug conjugate, for extrapulmonary neuroendocrine carcinomas after progression following standard first-line therapy. Zai Lab said preliminary data from an ongoing Phase 1b/2 trial showed an objective response rate of 38.2% in heavily pretreated patients.

On May 8, Citi lowered the firm’s price target on Zai Lab to $44 from $47 and maintained a Buy rating on the shares after updating its model following the Q1 report.

A day earlier, Zai Lab Limited (NASDAQ:ZLAB) reported Q1 EPS of (4c), compared to the consensus estimate of (53c). Revenue totaled $99.6M, versus the consensus estimate of $108.43M. CEO Samantha Du said the company continues to accelerate its global pipeline, citing progress in zoci, collaborations with Amgen and Boehringer Ingelheim, and advancement of ZL-1503 for atopic dermatitis. COO Josh Smiley said Zai Lab is deepening its presence in key markets to support VYVGART demand and preparing for the China launch of KarXT in Q2.
