At this point, buying an Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPhone means choosing between white and black. While there is nothing wrong with these two options, many consumers are looking for something more exciting. Many consumers are looking for something with a little bit of color.
While this may not be something that Apple has available right now, it may be coming down the pipe in the near future.
According to MacOtakara, citing “reliable sources,” a low cost iPhone is coming to the market in September. Even more so, the rumor states that it is going to be available in five colors.
What colors will consumers be able to choose from? Again, there is no definite answer but the rumor states that the five colors include: black, white, pink, orange and blue. As you can see, this means that there will only be three fresh colors with black and white carrying over from the current lineup.
If this is something that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is considering for a low cost iPhone, it is sure to bring another question to the forefront: will those how are interested in purchasing a traditionally priced device receive the same color options? This has yet to be discussed, and will definitely be a sticking point as things move forward. It is hard to imagine a situation in which Apple would only make the colors available on the cheaper iPhone, but this is definitely something to keep an eye on in the months to come.
