(NYSE:CRM), Micron Technology, Inc. (NASDAQ:MU), Tesla, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSLA), Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB), Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN), and Alphabet Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG). Tesla, Inc. shares rose almost 5.5% this week due to the broader market rally and Musk’s comments that the semiconductor chip shortage that has been a headwind for many automakers could be a short term problem. Further helping sentiment could be Tesla, Inc.’s ‘beta button’ which allows owners to request the company’s most sophisticated version of autonomous driving software with a press of a finger. The ‘beta button’ went live on Friday. Although Tesla, Inc.’s autonomous software isn’t really fully autonomous, it has potential to be sometime in the future. Catherine D. Wood‘s ARK Investment Management owned more than 5.4 million shares in Tesla, Inc. at the end of June.
9. Apple Inc. stock rallied more than 2% this week due to the rise in the market. With more certainty around the potential future path of interest rates after data was released from the Fed meeting this week, some investors are more optimistic and that’s likely helped Apple Inc..
Apple Inc. has also been in the news after a showbiz union said that Apple claimed it had fewer than 20 million TV+ subscribers in the United States and Canada as of the beginning of July. Given the scale of Apple’s other businesses, the current number of Apple TV+ subscribers isn’t a big deal for the stock. Many smart money funds seem bullish according to the latest 13F filing data. The number of elite funds that were long Apple Inc. rose to 138 at the end of Q2 from 127 in Q1.
8. Facebook, Inc. fell almost 2% this week despite the broader market rise. Although Facebook, Inc. rallied on Friday, the stock fell earlier in the week due to speculation on just how much Apple’s privacy policy changes could negatively affect Facebook, Inc.’s financial results. Eagle Capital Management raised its position by 7% from the prior quarter to over 7.4 million shares in Facebook, Inc. at the end of June.
7. Amazon.com, Inc. rose 0.87% this week as the stock continues to consolidate technically.
Amazon.com, Inc. has also been in the news with this week’s news that the company is planning on opening its own department stores which could increase its apparel sales. Amazon.com, Inc. already has a brick and mortar business with its purchase of Whole Foods several years ago. 6. Alphabet Inc. has risen around 2.6% this week as the company nears the $2 trillion market cap level. Meanwhile, Alphabet Inc. remains the dominant search provider and according to The Information, Alphabet Inc. is also seeking potential search deals for Instagram and TikTok videos. 190 top funds we track owned shares in the stock of Alphabet Inc.

5. salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) surged more than 11% this week given the company increased its full year revenue outlook slightly and hosted its annual investor day. salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) has likely also benefited from analyst upgrades this week. For fiscal 2022, salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) raised guidance earlier this week to $26.25-$26.35 billion from the previous $26.2-$26.3 billion. Arrowstreet Capital was long more than 4.9 million shares of salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) at the end of June.
4. SAP SE (NYSE:SAP) rose around 2.2% this week due to the strength in salesforce.com, inc. (NYSE:CRM) and the broader market rally. If demand for business cloud software increases given a stronger economy, SAP SE could benefit. SAP SE is up around 10% year to date. Ken Fisher‘s Fisher Asset Management was long more than 8.86 million shares of SAP SE at the end of June, up 4% from the prior quarter.
3. Adobe Inc. (NASDAQ:ADBE) fell 3.6% this week given Adobe Inc. reported fiscal third quarter sales of $3.94 billion and adjusted earnings of $3.11 per share. Although both numbers were ahead of the analyst consensus, the market may have expected even better results. 2. Micron Technology, Inc. has risen around 2% this week due to the broader market rally. the stock has also benefited from JPMorgan’s Harlan Sur bullish note earlier in the week, “Supply-constrained PC shipment weakness (driving softer DRAM pricing) offsets strength in [servers] and smartphones, which should drive a conservative tone for MU’s November-quarter outlook.” Of the around 873 elite funds in our database, 87 were long Micron Technology, Inc. at the end of the second quarter.
1. Roku, Inc. (NASDAQ:ROKU) shares rose 1.6% this week despite an analyst downgrade from Steven Cahall of Wells Fargo to ‘Equal Weight’ from ‘Overweight’. Cahall downgraded the stock due to valuation. The number of elite funds in our database that were long Roku, Inc. fell to 61 in the second quarter from 63 in the first quarter.
