Apple Store Stockton: This Apple Store is on the Move

Apple Store Stockton: For the most part, once Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has one of its stores in place it stays there for the long haul. That being said, this is not always the case. Instead, the Cupertino based company decides to make a change for one reason or the next.

That is what we are seeing right now in San Francisco, California. Despite the fact that the Apple Store located at Stockton and Ellis streets has performed well over the years, the company felt that it was time for a change.

Apple Inc. (AAPL) to be Added to Several WisdomTree ETFsOf course, there is a lot that goes into a move like this. In other words, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) cannot decide one day that it is simply going to move its location. Not only do they have a lot to consider in terms of inventory, but as you know, each and every Apple Store has a unique layout and design.

According to the San Francisco Chronicle, “Apple has submitted plans to open a new retail store on Union Square.”

If you have ever lived in or visited San Francisco, you know that this is only a few blocks away from the current Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Store on Stockton and Ellis streets.

Despite the fact that the new store is going to offer all the same features as the old one, it is important to note that the new Apple Store is going to be roughly 45 percent larger. This will allow the store to accommodate more product, as well as more consumers during busy times.

City Supervisor David Chiu is hoping for big things with this change. The Chronicle went on the add the following:

“Supervisor David Chiu said he hoped the new silver box-shaped computer store and customer service center would “turbo-charge” the Union Square area, which has long been home to many of the city’s high-end retailers.”

When everything is said and done, it is safe to say that the new Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) Store in Union Square will look nothing like it did when Levi’s was the tenant.

San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee is also excited about the project, hoping that the addition of the Apple Store will turn to area into the “Bay Area hub” for Apple shopping.

All in all, this appears to be both a good move for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) as well as the city as a whole. And of course, the millions of Apple fans in San Francisco will fall in love all over again.
