The 10 Most Conservative States in America

Gallup Polling revealed, in a research last month, the list of most conservative states in the US. The research, which was carried out during all of 2012, showed that Americans are moving against conservatism compared to the previous years. However, several states still have a high percentage of those promoting the preserving of traditional social institutions. “The top 10 conservative states are all red states that vote reliably Republican in national elections, all located in the nation’s Southern, Midwestern, and Mountain West regions,” the research said.

The label “conservative” doesn’t necessarily mean that these people vote Republican but there is a strong correlation. 69% of conservatives identified themselves either as Republican or leaning in that direction. However, this also means that nearly a third of conservatives aren’t as red as you might think.
