Despite the fact that BlackBerry has faced some difficult challenges as of late, the smartphone manufacturer continues to plug away with its new operating system and devices.

If you don’t know anything about this event, it is one of the biggest on the LPGA calendar. Taking place at the Grey Silo Golf Course, for Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has agreed to come on board as a presenting partner.

“This relationship between Manulife Financial and BlackBerry, two companies that call Waterloo Region home, will lead to the development of the BlackBerry Community Program, which will include a number of initiatives.”

As you can see, BlackBerry is doing its part to make things better in its local region.

Of course, Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is going to benefit along the way by getting its name in front of a large audience.

For example, the company will be doing product giveaways on June 7. This is sure to get people excited, while also showing the world what its devices have to offer.

Additionally, the “BlackBerry Family Zone” will be available throughout the tournament to provide family friendly activities and much more.
