Nokia Low Cost Phone: Nokia – Low-Cost Phone Released In This Gigantic Market

Nokia Low Cost Phone: Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) is doing everything it can to regain share of the mobile phone market. While the company may not be making much progress in the United States, it appears to be picking up steam elsewhere.

For example, Nokia has released its entry level Nokia 105 in India. While this may not sound like that big of a deal, first time buyers are falling in love thanks to a low starting price of $22.90 (or 1,249 rupees).

Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NOK)This smartphone will replace Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK)’s 1280 model, which was wildly successful, selling more than 100 million units.

While the price point alone is enough to get people excited, there are other reasons why the Nokia 105 is receiving top notch reviews.

For example, this phone can bring a lot of fun to your life through bright colors. If you want to learn more about the available colors, which includes black and cyan, you can check out this official blog post from Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) itself.

Along with color, there are other features that have people in India wanting to buy the phone. Its color display is a huge selling feature, but the battery that allows for 12.5 hours of talk time is nothing to take lightly.

The Nokia 105 is never going to be confused with a high end smartphone, such as the iPhone. That being said, it is the perfect addition in India where many people are looking to purchase their phone first.

Here is an excerpt from the official Nokia blog post:

“Product manager Tracy Chen told Conversations that “Nokia’s experience in optimising phone quality, combined with its global footprint and economies of scale, is a major contributor to being able to work to such a low price.” Working with thoroughly-tested hardware and software means there’s no drop in quality.”

In other words, Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK) is taking great pride in the fact that the phone is offering plenty of features, at an affordable price, without having to skimp on quality.

There are more than 2.7 billion people throughout the world who have yet to purchase their first mobile phone. This is due in large part to the cost. With the Nokia 105, this problem may be solved forever.
