Through the collaboration with Comtrend, MaxLinear, Inc. (NASDAQ:MXL) attempts to move toward future-ready EV solutions that could assist in capturing the growing business opportunities. The newly unveiled modules, in particular, use MaxLinear’s G.hn technology and allow for streamlined data collection and transfer without the need for installing new wiring, thereby optimizing the underground and urban charging infrastructure in terms of cost and scalability.

Vikas Choudhary, Vice President of Connectivity and Storage Business, MaxLinear, Inc. (NASDAQ:MXL), made the following comment:

“We are thrilled to partner with Comtrend to accelerate the installation of EV charging stations, addressing the industry’s needs and meeting the rapidly increasing demand.”

The announcement comes at a time when investor sentiment is shifting. MaxLinear, Inc. (NASDAQ:MXL) saw a year-to-date stock decline of 42.42%. It has risen by 14.01% in the past month, reflecting cautious optimism. In April, Loop Capital revised its price target for the company from $18 to $10 while claiming stable macro conditions and promising customer sentiment, and maintaining a Hold rating.

Subsequently, the new product rollout could mark a meaningful inflection point by leveraging the increasing demand for EVs and MaxLinear, Inc. (NASDAQ:MXL)’s optical segment projection of double revenue in FY25.
