Luxor Capital Group Increases Stake In Altisource Residential Corp (RESI)

Christian Leone‘s Luxor Capital Group has filed a 13G with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, in which it disclosed its position in Altisource Residential Corp (NYSE:RESI). The filing showed that Luxor owns some 4.23 million shares of Altisource Residential, which represent 7.6% of the company’s outstanding stock. The position is higher compared to the 2.54 million shares of Altisource Residential that Luxor reported in its last 13F filing (for the end of 2015).

Overall, Altisource Residential Corp (NYSE:RESI) was in 9 hedge funds’ portfolios at the end of December, compared to 13 funds a quarter earlier. Among them, the largest stake is held by Luxor as it trumped Jamie Zimmerman’s Litespeed Management, which held 2.69 million shares at the end of last year. Other investors bullish on the stock include Andrew Goldman’s Seven Locks Capital Management, Ken Griffin’s Citadel Investment Group and George McCabe’s Portolan Capital Management.

On the other hand, Brian Jackelow’s SAB Capital Management cut the largest position of the 700 funds watched by Insider Monkey, comprising an estimated $21 million in stock. William Black’s fund, Consector Capital, also dropped its stock, about $4.3 million worth.
