Kevin Kotler, Broadfin Capital Add Some More Cardica, Inc. (CRDC) Shares To Their Portfolio

Kevin Kotler and his fund, Broadfin Capital, have further boosted their holding of Cardica, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRDC) stock. According to a recent filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, Kotler and Broadfin have added 500,000 shares of Cardica, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRDC) to their portfolio, taking their investment in the company to 8.87 million shares, which account for 9.98% of the total number of shares outstanding. At the end of May, Broadfin’s stake had registered a massive boost from approximately 640,000 to more than 8 million shares.

Chuck Royce is also bullish on Cardica, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRDC) and has initiated a position for his fund during the first quarter. As a result, Royce & Associates has reported ownership of 169,600 shares at the end of March. Phil Frohlich doesn’t seem to be so optimistic and has chosen to trim his fund’s stake in the company. Prescott Group Capital Management reportedly holds 1.96 million shares, down 2% during the quarter. Nathan Fischel, the manager of Dafna Capital Management, has followed suit and has cut his fund’s stake by 1% to 1.05 million shares.
