The best banker around …
… is probably not Jamie Dimon. He is, however, a fine banker. Better than fine, most likely. Coming out the financial crisis, the hero-worship of Dimon was overdone. Now, in the wake of the London Whale debacle, the reviling has been equally overdone.

In the lead-up to the shareholder vote results, it was a bit childish of Dimon to threaten to leave the bank if his roles were split. But in the end, with an overwhelming majority voting in favor of letting Dimon keep his CEO/chairman combo, I find it hard to argue that shareholders made the wrong decision.
