Rob Citrone

Rob Citrone’s Discovery Capital Management, founded in 1999, is one of the Tiger Cub hedge funds. Rob Citrone once worked as a portfolio manager at Fidelity Investments and Tiger Management before founding Discovery Capital. Based in Connecticut, Discovery Capital focuses on liquidity, valuation multiples, past and potential growth in picking stocks and has a focus on technology, services, basic materials and financial sectors. Robert Citrone’s flagship Discover Global Opportunity Partners fund returned 27.5% in 2013. Discovery Capital’s annualized returns since 1999 is around 17%. Robert Citrone’s worst performance was in 2008 when he lost 33%. Discovery Capital had more than $12 billion in AUM at the end of 2013. Rob Citrone received a business degree from the Darden School at the University of Virginia. Citrone, like David Tepper, owns a piece of Pittsburgh Steelers.
