Principal of Binary Options Trading Firm Ordered to Pay $200K for Illegal Off-Exchange Trading (HedgeCo.net)
(HedgeCo.Net) U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission has issued an order filing and settling charges against Curtis Dalton of Middleton, Massachusetts, requiring him to pay $200,000 for offering illegal off-exchange retail commodity transactions to U.S. and overseas customers while failing to be registered by the CFTC as required. The transactions offered by Dalton consisted of binary options in foreign currencies, which were required to be traded on a designated contract market, an exempt board of trade, or a bona fide foreign board of trade. Instead, these contracts were traded on a binary options trading platform operated by an unregistered British Virgin Islands company located in Cyprus.

Tuesday 7/30 Insider Buying Report: CPF, CNC (Nasdaq.com)
On Monday, Central Pacific Financial Corp (CPF)’s President, Agnes Catherine Ngo, made a $253,508 buy of CPF, purchasing 8,550 shares at a cost of $29.65 a piece. Investors have the opportunity to bag CPF at a price even lower than Ngo did, with the stock trading as low as $29.12 in trading on Tuesday which is 1.8% below Ngo’s purchase price. Central Pacific Financial Corp is trading up about 1.6% on the day Tuesday. And at Centene Corp (CNC), there was insider buying on Friday, by Director Jessica L. Blume who bought 2,850 shares for a cost of $52.99 each, for a total investment of $151,022. Centene Corp is trading down about 0.8% on the day Tuesday. So far Blume is in the green, up about 1.7% on their purchase based on today’s trading high of $53.87.

Chris Collins, in a rare meeting with reporters since his indictment on insider-trading charges, insisted Tuesday he is in “no rush” to decide on running for re-election, while maintaining his innocence. Collins said he’s still considering whether to run for re-election in 2020. If he does, he said, he would have a “properly funded” campaign. “It’s still July of 2019; the primary is not until June, 2020. That’s still 11 months away,” he said. “Let’s just say Chris Jacobs stirred the pot a little early.”
