Google Glass Eyewear: Google’s Glass is the Real Thing, Coming Soon

Larry PageGoogle Glass Eyewear: While other companies continue to sit back and talk about the future, teasing consumers with the thoughts of high tech devices, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is acting fast. It appears that Google’s Glass is not just a rumor any longer. Instead, the company is serious about bringing it to market. Even more so, according to Forbes, “you can get one by the end of 2013 by entering and winning a special contest.”

Google is one of the hedge fund industry’s most popular stock picks, and it’s always important to pay attention to the smart money (see just why here).

Are you still unsure of what this device is all about? If so, you don’t have to go any further than this page right here. This is the official Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) page that explains: how it feels, what it does, and how to get one.

If you are wondering how much it will cost, here is what CNET has to say:

“Regular people will be able to purchase Google Glass eyewear by the end of 2013 for less than $1,500, sources have confirmed to CNET.”

“Google originally targeted 2014 for a consumer release when it revealed Project Glass last year, but the time frame has seemingly sped up in recent months, what with developer hackathons in San Francisco and New York and this week’s announcement that people looking to put Glass to creative use could go through an application process to preorder the augmented reality specs for $1,500.”

The same CNET article goes on to explain some of the features it will offer, including the ability to connect via Bluetooth to both iPhone and Android devices.

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) plans on updating consumer’s monthly on the progress of Glass as well as anything else they may need to know.
