Facebook Inc (FB): Why Does Mark Zuckerberg Wear The Same Shirt Every Day?

With his billions in wealth, why does Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) co-founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg not wear one of these 10 Most Expensive Men’s Suits in the World and instead opt for a plain t-shirt every day?

As it turns out, it has something to do with his vision and how he goes about with the things he has to deal with every day.

In short, it’s a conscious choice to wear the same shirt every day for him to focus on what is more important.

“It’s a very simple question in a way but it also speaks to how we think about our duty to the community. I really want to clear my life to make it so that I have to make as few decisions as possible about anything except how to best serve this community,” he said.

The Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) boss said that there are psychology theories that state that even seemingly small decisions like deciding what to wear or what to eat for breakfast contribute to fatigue when seen in a larger picture.

“My view is I’m in this really lucky position where I get to wake up every day and help serve more than a billion people. I feel like I’m not doing my job if I spend any of my energy on things that are silly or frivolous in my life,” Zuckerberg said.

The Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) boss said that he would rather dedicate his effort on building the best products and services and helping his company reach its goals which includes helping everybody in the world to connect.

The comment was made by the Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) co-founder in the company’s first-ever town hall Q&A session where he fielded questions from Facebook users.

Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) shareholders includes Philippe Laffont’s Coatue Management which reported owning about 5.87 million shares in the company by the end of the first half of the year.
