Boost Mobile iPhone: When it comes to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) rumors, the only thing that is always true is this: you never know what to believe. While some rumors come to fruition, others seem to die just as quickly as they make their rounds on the Internet.
The latest Apple rumor has to do with the company joining hands with Boost Mobile later this year.
This may not be a big surprise to many, as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is always looking for new ways to push its products. Along with this, it is safe to say that Boost Mobile would enjoy the bump in business that a partnership would bring.
So who is responsible for this Apple rumor? None other than Twitter user @evleaks. But before you disregard this as just another Twitter rumor, keep in mind that this user has been reliable in the past. Not only has this account broken some stories over the past year, but it is always good for leaked pictures as well.
With all this in mind, the Tweet was pretty straightforward:
“iPhone to Boost Mobile in Q3.”
That about says it all. If this is true, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and Boost Mobile are already in talks.
Additionally, it is important to note that there is no information on whether or not Boost Mobile will carry all iPhone models or just one to start. Along with this, there is no pricing information to rely on right now.
In the past, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has paid close attention to expansion through the major wireless US carriers. At first, the company only did business with Apple but at this point all four major providers are on board.
Of course, Boost Mobile would not be going into uncharted territory. Cricket Communications did the same with a prepaid iPhone model last year. Virgin Mobile is on board as well.
Like many, you may not know much about Boost Mobile. For more information on the company, including its current offerings, visit its website here. This will give you a better idea of what the prepaid wireless carrier has to offer, while helping you formulate an opinion as to what this may mean for both companies in the near future.
It will be interesting to see if Apple and Boost Mobile join forces in the third quarter of 2013.
