Apple Campus 2: Apple Enjoys Talking To Its Neighbors

Apple Campus 2: Are you the type of person who enjoys talking to their neighbors? Or are you the type who is always in hiding? If you are anything like Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), you don’t mind striking up a conversation from time to time.

Apple Inc. (AAPL) to be Added to Several WisdomTree ETFsAs we noted last week, Apple filed a revised plan for its Campus 2 project in Cupertino, California. While there is no denying the fact that this is going to be a good thing for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), it is not overlooking what this means to the area as a whole.

For this reason, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has decided to reach out to locals as a means of receiving feedback on the project while discussing what the future holds.

If you are interested in learning more about the project, including recent changes, you can do so by visiting the official City of Cupertino website.

What exactly is Apple looking for when reaching out to its neighbors? All in all, the company simply wants to let the people know how things are progressing.

The letter was penned by Apple Chief Financial Officer Peter Oppenheimer, and talks about some of the many things the local people may be excited about.

Here is the letter, as published online by MacRumors.com:

“At Apple, the environment is a top priority, and we’ve designed Apple Campus 2 with cutting-edge features to make it energy-efficient and environmentally sustainable. Several of these green technologies are highlighted in this update.

As at our existing campus on Infinite Loop, we are committed to 100% renewable energy to power Apple Campus 2. This will include onsite generation from photovoltaics and fuel cells. As part of this effort, approximately 8 megawatts of photovoltaics will be installed, creating one the largest installations of its kind on a corporate campus anywhere in the world.

Apple started in Cupertino, and we are excited to continue to grow here. As we build the new campus, we also plan to invest in new roadways and intersection improvements, add new sidewalks and better bike lanes, and plant new trees in newly created medians in the surrounding neighborhood.”

As you can see, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is concerned with what people may think about the project’s environmental impact. By keeping neighbors in the loop, ensuring them that nothing bad is happening to the environment, it is able to avoid a lot of issues down the road.

It is nice to see Apple so concerned with the environment, as well as what its neighbors are feeling about its Campus 2 project. Let’s hope this trend catches on with other companies throughout the country.
