Apple: The Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) brand is by far one of the most valuable in the world. For this reason, people from one side of the globe to the next are interested in buying iPhones, iPads, and Mac computers among other devices and products.
While this is easy enough for some groups of people, such as those living in the United States and Europe, there are others who do not have easy access to the products made available by Cupertino.
Turkey Gets its Wish
For the first time ever, according to our friends at Cult of Mac, consumers in Turkey are going to have access to an Apple online store. This is big news for residents of this country, especially considering the fact that Apple recently announced it would be opening a retail store in Istanbul, Turkey next year.
For those in Turkey who have been looking to buy Apple products over the years, the wait is finally over. They can go online and buy whatever they want. Starting next year, these same consumers will be able to travel to the retail store in Istanbul to make a purchase.
Perfect Timing for Tablet Initiative
This move was a long time coming, being that Apple has shown interest in breaking into Turkey for quite some time.
Earlier in the year, a number of high-level Apple executives visited the country’s present to discuss the possibility of using the iPad in local schools. This will be part of the Turkish government’s FAITH project which plans on implementing 15 million tablets into schools over the next few years. With a total cost of approximately $4.5 billion, it is easy to see that the country cares about technology as well as providing a better education.
Good for Everybody
The introduction of an Apple online store in Turkey benefits a variety of people. As you can imagine, this is perfect for Apple as the company continues to expand and grow its brand throughout the world. And of course, residents of this country are glowing at the thought of being able to easily purchase the Apple devices of which they have been dreaming.
