Exciting news out of Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) today, as the company revealed updates to its voice-focused speaker, Echo, as well as unwrapping several new products. Amazon, one of the 10 largest online shopping sites in the world, will surely be among the top destinations for online shoppers during this year’s Christmas shopping season. We’ll now have to update our list of the 10 cool tech gadgets to buy on Amazon under $100 after today’s revelations.

Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN) has reportedly been working on these devices for a couple of years now, which includes an updated Fire TV set-top box and Fire TV stick that functions similarly to Alphabet Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Chromecast, and glasses with built-in Alexa functions.

The Fire TV is one that you’ll definitely want to hook up to your TV, allowing commands for controlling your TV to be shouted at it, such as searching for Alexa, changing channels, opening applications, etc. Just try to keep the shouting down to a minimum while watching your favorite sports team get pummeled or you may inadvertently find yourself changing the channel or launching an app.

Unlike the Apple TV, which has the microphone installed in its remote, with the Amazon device you can shout the same commands without keeping track of your remote or any other device, because the microphone is installed in the set-top box itself.
