A Tesla Motors Inc (TSLA) Car At The Corner Of Every Street

A Tesla at the corner of every street

Perhaps this is a bit of an exaggeration; after all, not even Toyotas are seen on every street corner but the number of cars sold by mass market automakers dwarfs the number Tesla hopes to sell over the next few years. Even with production on the Model S and Model X running at full capacity, the sub 100,000 units produced will be tiny compared to the millions of Toyotas being produced worldwide. In the next several years, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) will strive to become the electric BMW, a great feat in itself considering the vast profits BMW rakes in and the huge volume of vehicles it produces. With battery technology improving and the forces of consumer demand driving it, it would be reasonable to see far cheaper EV technology over the next decade. With that in hand, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) could use its improved production capacity to finally show the world it can produce a car for anyone otherwise in the market for a typical mid size car.
