Full Size Tablet: Most people agree that the Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) full-size iPad is already pretty light and thin. Of course, Apple never leaves a stone unturned. If there is a way to make its tablet lighter and thinner, you can be rest assured they will consider every possible option.

Recent reports state that the fifth-generation full-size Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) iPad is going to eliminate some excess weight with a redesign expected sometime in 2013.

According to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo and reported by AppleInsider, “The next 9.7-inch iPad is expected to borrow design cues from its smaller sibling, the 7.9-inch iPad mini.”

The article goes on to add that Kuo “expects the fifth-generation iPad to be “significantly lighter and slimmer” than the design featured in the third- and fourth-generation models.”

As you can see, he is not shy when it comes to discussing the future of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) while also offering information on what the company’s newest products may entail.

What else does he expect from the fifth-generation tablet? Here is another brief excerpt from the same AppleInsider article:

“Kuo said Apple’s “iPad 5” will feature a narrow border design, similar to the one found on the iPad mini. To compensate for that smaller border, the iPad mini features advanced software that allows the system to ignore unintended touching of the screen during one-handed use.”
