A Huge Apple Inc. (AAPL) Fan Forever?

When most kids are 16 years old, they are thinking about getting their driver’s license and hanging out with friends. Of course, there are some who have other things on their mind. Things such as developing Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) apps.

Regardless of what you were doing when you were 16 years old, it is hard to imagine something as exciting as this story. Ryan Orbuch was recently announced as the winner of the 2013 Apple Design Student Award.

Apple Inc. (AAPL)While there are many others his age who were hoping to take home the honor, it was Orbuch who came out on top. You can be rest assured that he is going to continue to build on this success, and likely be an Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) fan for the rest of his life.

As you know, millions of apps are developed and never become mainstream. Even worse, some hit the app store and immediately flop.

However, this was not the case with Orbuch and his “Finish” app. Instead, it caught the eye of Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and landed him a coveted award.

With all this being said, it is time to hear what Orbuch himself has to say about the subject. He recently sat down with Emily Chang on Bloomberg Television’s “Bloomberg West” to discuss the award and what it means to him.

He is what Orbuch had to say:

“I came up with this concept for kind of these three sliding time frames, is what we call them. So you split your tasks into short, mid, and long term and then we move your stuff up automatically and what that kind of allows us to do is you can really just look at short term and you get a really good sense of all your stuff because we are moving it for you. It is really less stressful and it is a great user interface and we have seen really positive feedback.”

Although this may sound like nothing more than another Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) time management app, nothing could be further from the truth. Orbuch, despite his age, was able to take a basic idea and do something special with it.
