Almost 97% of the company’s sales are made domestically as the drink is China’s national spirit. Today, the brand is seen as more of a high-end status symbol, as some consumers purchase it not to drink, but to keep it as an investment. A limited-edition bottle of Moutai can fetch more than $40,000 each. 

Kweichow reported $10.39 billion in revenue for the first three quarters of 2020, an increase of 10.31% year over year. Shares of Moutai rallied 102.46% over the past twelve months.
