The city of Oklahoma is categorized politically as a conservative city in America. Even though the state of Oklahoma has a history of Democratic state government dominance, Oklahoma City is highly conservative as more than 50% of the population in the city leans republican. An important fact about Oklahoma is that this state came into being at the height of the era of Jim Crow Laws and had the Ku Klux Klan presence in the 1920s. It is known for its cowboy culture and capitol complex, surrounded by working oil wells. An interesting fact about this city is that it has the largest population of Native Americans in the country. Furthermore, one of the first fully online payroll provider in US, Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE: PAYC),  is headquartered in Oklahoma City since 1998.
