Hindu population, with the majority of its followers in Asia, is expected to increase from estimated 1 billion to 1.4 billion i.e. overall 34% rate of growth. With most of the Hindu population living in India, this religion is expected to keep up its current rate of growth owing to high fertility rates in suburban and undeveloped parts of India. Though Hindu population is relatively low in European countries, it is expected to increase slowly in the near future.
