In Zambia 23% of protein supplies (per capita) come from animal sources with beef being the preferred choice. Beef and veal consumption is 20.07 pounds per capita, pork meat consumption 3.31 pounds per capita, poultry 5.95 per capita and sheep meat consumption is 1.10 per capita. Despite having high meat consumption when compared to some other countries on our list, Zambia is still among the countries with lowest meat consumption.
