Apple Streaming service should be the biggest news for this year’s developer’s conference as the company moves to highlight its plans for the industry. The purchase of Beats for $3 billion came as a surprise to many. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is poised to show why it had to pay such an amount, for a service that was only getting started.

However, there are big announcements that might be too early for this year’s developer’s conference. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) might stay clear of highlighting its plans to expand its influence in the living rooms. Apple TV has for some time been in the mouths of many developers, but it might be too early for any major announcement on this front.

Lack of sufficient content for Apple TV seems to be the biggest stumbling block to the unveiling of the service. Plans to unveil new hardware for Apple TV is also believed to be one of the reasons that the company may stay clear of any talk about this product.

Apple has already signed an exclusive streaming deal with CBS an indication that Apple TV falls perfectly into the company’s long-term plans. A delay does not mean that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has all but lost hope for the service but a sign it is planning to come up with something bigger both on the hardware and service front.

A new hardware could be in the offing as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) moves to allow third-party developers to target the platform. However, the current model could also receive an upgrade. Apple TV being used as a HomeKit gateway is a strong possibility. That means that the current hardware could be of great use for flipping light switches as well as regulating temperature levels in the house.
