While the search engine giant, led by Larry Page, has a lot of people to thank for this, Samsung has to be at the top of the list.

There is no denying the fact that the Android operating system brings a lot to the table. Sundar Pichai has done a great job with development, and things are looking up from here. What is Next for Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) Android?

Many people are already looking forward to the Samsung Galaxy S5 – and for good reason. The S4 helped the company pots its most profitable quarter in the history of the company, and there is no reason to believe that a slowdown is going to hit anytime soon.

Over the past few months, there have been quite a few rumors about what the S5 will offer but things are starting to get serious according to a recent update by Zach Epstein of BGR.

He noted that South Korea’s Electronic Time News, a reputable source, has reported that the upcoming smartphone from Samsung will include a “16-megapixel camera module that is currently in development.”

There are not many additional details regarding this device, but from Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s perspective it doesn’t really matter.

If consumers purchase the S5 because of its killer camera, it counts for Android. It doesn’t even matter if these consumers don’t know anything about the operating system. This is the joy of being in Google’s shoes.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 is expected to make its way to market in 2014, giving Android yet another boost.

What do you think about the S5? What do you think about Android in general?
