BlackBerry Q10 Launch: Research In Motion BlackBerry Device Soon Heading North of the Border

BlackBerry Q10 Launch: People all over the world are beginning to get excited about the launch of the Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry Q10. With a QWERTY keyboard, consumers are hoping that this new device is going to blend the old time favorite features of the brand with top of the line technology.

A few days back, we published this piece: Research In Motion Ltd (BBRY): Q10 Nears Its Royal Launch in U.K.

While the release date for the Q10 is being set in some countries, others are still unsure of when they will be able to get their hands on the device. For this reason, many are playing a “sit and wait” game.

Research in Motion Ltd. (BBRY)It appears that consumers in Canada are not going to have to wait much longer for the local release of the Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry Q10.

Mobile Syrup is reporting that this device is going to hit the market on April 30th, just a few short weeks away. Here is a brief excerpt with more information on the decision:

“According to an internal doc we received it states that Rogers, and presumably all the other carriers, will launch the BlackBerry Q10 on Tuesday, April 30th. We have no word on the price points, or what colours will be available.”

As noted above, a growing number of people are excited about Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY)’s phone, even more so than the Z10, because of its physical keyboard. This is something that has been passed by recently, in favor of a touch screen option. Of course, it is also something that made the company so popular not that long ago.

Along with the QWERTY keyboard, consumers can expect a 3.1 inch display with a 720×720 resolution. Along with this, there is a “1.5GHz dual-core processor, 8MP camera that snaps 1080p HD videos, 2MP front-facing camera, 2GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, 2100mAh battery, LTE, WiFi and NFC.”

Research In Motion Ltd (BBRY) has been looking for ways to grab some of the market share the company has lost over the past few years. While the competition has been dominating, BBRY is confident that its new operating system, combined with fresh smartphones, will help it make a comeback. Along with this, BlackBerry has been striking up new partnerships with mobile carriers.

As the days continue to pass, more Q10 release dates are sure to be made public. We will keep you up to date.
