Ranjan Tandon’s Libra Advisors, has tweaked several holdings in its equity portfolio, as revealed from latest filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
In one of the filings Libra Advisors revealed that it no longer has any stake in MNP Petroleum Corp (OTCMKTS:MNAP), the fund held 26.18 million shares which was disclosed in a 13G filing in September. The fund held 14.2% of common stock in September.
In a separate filing, Ranjan Tandon revealed that he has significantly upped its stake in VIRGINIA MINES INC (OTCMKTS:VGMNF), to 2.62 million shares from 1.79 million shares held earlier. Currently, the fund owns 7.95% of the company’s shares.
SilverCrest Mines Inc (NYSEMKT:SVLC) is the next on the list. Libra Advisors has edged down to 5.95 million shares from 6.42 million shares. The holding amasses 5.47% of SilverCrest’s common shares.
SilverCrest stands on the second sport in Libra Advisors’ equity portfolio in terms of value.
A couple of months ago Ranjan Tandon’s Libra Advisors had disposed of all its holdings in Revett Minerals Inc ADR (NYSEMKT:RVM), selling 900K shares of the stock. On the same day the fund also trimmed its stake in Rare Earth Resources Corp (OTCMKTS:TRER) to 890,433 shares from 3.6 million share. Another move made by the fund was in Clifton Star Resources (OTCMKTS:CFMSF), where the fund sliced its position to 930,000 shares from 2.5 million shares held earlier.
Libra Advisors was a standard long/short hedge fund before turning into a family office. The fund focuses on both gold mining and production stocks and emerging market equities.
Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) is the largest holding in terms of value in Tandon’s equity portfolio, the postion was initiated in the third quarter of 2013. The fund owns 481,891 shares, with a reported value of $16.60 million. Gran Tierra Energy Inc. (NYSEMKT:GTE), stands on the third spot followed by SilverCrest, where the fund has invested 14.87% of its equity portfolio and now holds 1.37 million shares. Tandon initiated a position in China Mobile Ltd. (ADR) (NYSE:CHL), in the third quarter, which stands on the fourth spot, of which the fund owns 150,000 shares.
