Ron Pessner, Xbox Live General Manager, recently sat down with Xbox Wire to discuss the new SmartGlass including what users should be most excited about.

Pessner calls it a “free downloadable companion application” that allows you to extend your Xbox experience to a smart device. The Xbox One SmartGlass app is free of cost. It will be available this upcoming holiday season for download on Android, iOS, and Windows 8 devices. In other words, if you have a smartphone or tablet there is a very good chance you will be able to download this app for free and begin using it right away.

Just the same as the natural evolution from Xbox 360 to Xbox One, users can expect SmartGlass to offer a top notch experience.
