Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)’s Simple Solution Registers A Win Against Google Inc (GOOGL)

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) has used Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)‘s product idea to realise that there is market for devices to project videos on a larger screen, and then recently announced an October release of  a simplified solution that other players failed to capitalize on. Pete Pachal reported on Mashable about Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s newly released Display Adapter that is far ahead of Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Chromecast in terms of functionality.

According to Pachal, Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s new device is imply a mirroring device that projects everything on the computer monitor to a TV screen. It sounds very simple when you hear it the first time, but if one finds out what functionality Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s Chromecast provided, then it becomes more clear how Microsoft simplified the whole deal.

Chromecast is a streaming adapter that you plug into your TV’s HDMI port and then from either your desktop, laptop, tablet or even smart phone you can broadcast content from Netflix, YouTube, Hulu Plus etc. to your Chromecast which then displays them on your TV screen. For this broadcasting an internet connection is required.

Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) realised that the product although useful is fraught with limited functionality in the sense that it is mostly for streaming services or works for other Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) services such as Google Play.

With Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s new device no internet connection is required to establish a link between the TV screen and the computer. Moreover, since it’s the computer screen that is being projected on TV, the device can be used for a variety of purposes such as presentations or even just browsing the internet. Pachal also highlighted this feature of the Display Adapter and that it is a very handy solution for frequent travelers who have to make presentations often. with Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)’s Display Adapter they will not even be limited by availability of an internet connection.

According to Pachal the Display Adapter is scheduled to be released in October for  $59.95.
