Microsoft Corporation Careers: Microsoft Career Openings Dissected by Analysts

Microsoft Corporation Careers: Are you interested in working at Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT)? If so, you may be in luck. It appears that the company has quite a few openings at the present time. For a closer look at these positions, including the departments in which there are the most openings, you don’t have to look any further than the company’s official career website.

For job seekers, this is a big deal. After all, the more openings there are the better chance they have of landing a position. Sounds good, right?

Microsoft Corporation (MSFT)There is another side of the story. This side wants to know why there are so many openings at a company such as Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT). Is there a reason for this? Is there something going on internally that could cause this to be the case.

Although it is hard to say for sure, analysts at Griffin Securities took a closer look at the company’s career website and found that there are more than 2,000 openings at the present time.

The information dissected by these analysts was briefly discussed by The Wall Street Journal.

Rather than focus on the number of openings, the analysts dug deeper for a better idea of the types of projects Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) may be working on in the near future. After all, the next four years for the company are going to be crucial.

Here are four points that the analysts dug up:

“1. Expect much better streaming video services in the next-generation Xbox console, expected to be out later this year. “A combination keyword search of ‘streaming video’ and ‘Xbox’ yielded four dozen open positions,” Griffin wrote.

2. Microsoft has four times as many jobs available in Germany (136) than France (33). In fact, Microsoft has more openings in Israel (39) than all of France.

3. No advertisements could be found for hardware-related jobs in the Windows Phone division, “an interesting result if Microsoft had chosen to develop a branded phone,” Griffin wrote.

4. Search is still a big focus for new talent: there were 249 job openings working on the Bing search engine, compared to 66 for Office (and no search results at all for Mac Office).”

The number of job openings at Microsoft Corporation (NASDAQ:MSFT) at the present time may very well be an indicator of expansion. As the analysts at Griffin found, digging a bit deeper can uncover quite a few details.
