Joel Ramin’s 12 West Capital Discloses New Passive Stake in Zulily Inc (ZU)

12 West Capital Management, managed by Joel Ramin, has disclosed, in a new filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission, adding Zulily Inc (NASDAQ:ZU) to its equity portfolio. The fund currently holds 735,804 shares of the company. The stake amasses 5.6% of the stock, and is passive by nature.

Zulily Inc (NASDAQ:ZU) is an e-commerce company, which offers daily deals for moms, babies and kids. The company helps moms find new and unique products. The products, offered by Zulily Inc (NASDAQ:ZU), include women’s apparel, kids’ apparel and toys.

At the end of the third quarter of 2013, 12 West Capital Management owned 1.61 million shares of FleetCor Technologies Inc. (NYSE:FLT), with a reported value of about $177.76 million. The fund also held 1.15 million shares of Tripadvisor Inc. (NASDAQ:TRIP).

In November 2013, Zulily Inc (NASDAQ:ZU) conducted its initial public offering (IPO) selling 11,500,000 shares of its class A common stock at $22.00 per share. The offering included a total of 6,377,500 shares by the company and a total of 5,122,500 shares owned by certain selling stockholders.

12 West Capital Management was founded by Joel Ramin in 2011. Ramin previously worked at Roberto Mignone‘s Bridger Capital. The fund prefers to put its money in short positions, but also invests in long equity holdings.
