Apple Secrecy: When it comes to Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), the rumors and information leaks will never stop. Everybody is looking to break the next big story. Everybody is looking to discuss the next new device, even if they don’t have concrete evidence as to what it will entail.

The question is: could this be causing issues with employees who work for the Cupertino-based tech giant?
Business Insider recently took the time to dive into this question in great detail.
They relied on reviews posted on Glassdoor, “a site that lists job information and company reviews.”
While there is no way of knowing what employees are thinking and referring to when posting a review, there are quite a few concerning Apple’s secrecy.
Here is an excerpt from the article:
“A number of recent reviews on Glassdoor, a site that lists job information and company reviews, have served as a place for Apple engineers to vent.
“When you write a Glassdoor review, you’re encouraged to list pros and cons about working for a company. In the “cons” section, a few current and recent employees mentioned frustration with the level of secrecy in Apple. Some said it inhibited their ability to work.”
Here is a review from an Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) engineer that is particularly telling:
“Secrecy is a killer, the more you give to the job the more is expected from you. No chance of life balance here. Ever wondered why Google always makes the top ten of the best companies to work for but Apple never get even close? Well there is a reason…”
Alyson Shontell, the author of the article, dug through numerous reviews to compile the following:
“From an Apple software engineer intern on January 19: “smart people, cool products, challenging environment…secrecy is tiring.”
“On December 12, a former software engineer wrote: “Great products, damaging culture…Culture of secrecy for the sake of secrecy is extremely damaging.”
“From a current software engineer in October: “Just an awesome place to work…Secrecy and “need to know” mode of information sharing sometimes hamper progress.”
