Google Inc (GOOGL) Amassing More Wealth From 700 Million Businesses With Craig Walker’s Help

Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) is on its way to offer its customers a completely mobile office solution. Now, even their office phones no longer have to be stuck to their desks, since they can take calls on the go. The creator of Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) Voice and the CEO and co-founder of Switch revealed on Bloomberg  how his new product for Google completes the ultimate transition of businesses to clouds.

Google GOOG

“They [Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)] have done great with email, calendar, all these things that they are offering businesses but there is no phone answer there so we wanted to build a phone system for that growing Google Apps user base […],” said Walker.

Walker also said that it takes Switch merely an hour to make this transition for their customers. I guess it is also time for a new business card for Switch’s customers because that old office phone number is certainly not going to be working anymore.

Walker also shed some light on the huge potential of the product as more and more businesses continue to nest their presence in clouds, so that their office is virtually accessible from any part of the world, provided that there is an internet connection there. He expected the number of these businesses to touch 700 million during the next decade.

” […] There are about 50 million businesses that have moved to the cloud for their office enterprise suite and  that is going to go to 700 million over the next nine years, so it’s a growing growing user base and the Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) side of it is about 50% of its a big big market that no one has really addressed a solution specifically for them […],” informed Walker.

When asked about his company’s edge from other giant telecom and software development companies, Walker mentioned that they are rigid in thinking. According to him, they do not look to solve problems that are more relevant for the businesses today. For example, he mentioned that the telephone manufacturers should already have found a way to make office phones remotely accessible from laptops, smart phones and even tablets.

With Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL)’s new tool companies can now  continue to reduce office space, which would mean lower operational costs as more employees will be able to work from home in the future.
