Caterpillar is off about 26% from its high a year ago. Among a number of things, it has been battered by disappointing growth in China. That is expected to improve this year, and the Chinese market should grow about 6.6%, still not reaching its peak from 2011, but showing signs that the construction market in China is still vibrant.

I believe now is a great time to buy Caterpillar, not because it released a new smartphone, but because it’s committed to growth and meeting the needs of customers. Its rugged smartphone is just one example of that.

As the global economy recovers, Caterpillar will be able to capitalize on that and ride it to success.
