Yesterday JC Penney (JCP) went up $5.26. News of J. C. Penney hiring Apple's head of retail operations has made the stock jump 17.5% in one day. Bill Ackman had 34.9 Million shares of JCP in his portfolio. He also had 4.1 Million call options on JCP at the end of March. The call options are probably deep in the money call options, so this means Bill Ackman profited around $200 Million yesterday from the jump in JCP's stock price.
