It posted C$3.8 million in revenue, up 21.3% compared to the same period last year. New Credit Line, Platform Pivot and Margin Gains

In relation to the ReefIQ launch, MindWalk substantiated a production deployment involving AMD Instinct GPUs, in collaboration with AMD and Vultr. According to the company, the deployment expands ReefIQ’s compute capacity and could lower the cost of onboarding enterprise clients as recurring revenue scales. The company is currently negotiating with various large players across the pharmaceutical market for enterprise-level deployment of ReefIQ.

Roughly 80% of the company’s commercial pipeline by value now consists of partnership-structured engagements rather than discrete projects. ReefIQ rollout led to higher sales and marketing spend during the period. However, operating cash burn still showed some improvement as the company used C$4 million in net cash for operating activities. This compares to C$4.2 million used during the same period last year.

MindWalk also secured a binding commitment for a US$30 million senior unsecured revolving credit facility at a fixed 7.00% rate. The binding term sheet carries no warrants or conversion options, financial maintenance covenants, or asset pledges, although a definitive credit agreement still needs to be negotiated and closed.

Profitability Metrics Under Pressure

Despite the topline growth and margin improvements, profitability metrics remained a cause of concern. Operating losses increased by 47% year-over-year, standing at C$6.13 million compared to C$4.16 million in Q1 FY26. Net loss from continuing operations for the first quarter widened to $6.1 million, or $0.13 per share, compared to $4.1 million, or $0.09 per share, during the same period last year. This was attributed to the commercial infrastructure spending to scale ReefIQ’s enterprise adoption. Adjusted EBITDA from continuing operations also worsened during the quarter, increasing from negative C$3.7 million last year to negative C$5.1 million in the reported quarter.

Institutional Sentiment

Institutional interest across 1,000+ hedge funds tracked by Insider Monkey shows very low level of institutional exposure in the stock. According to 13F filing data, total number of hedge funds that held positions in the stock was just 2 by the end of second quarter in 2026, a slight drop from 3 funds in the previous quarter. Short interest sits at 1.66%, which indicates modest level of betting against the stock.

With 3.04 million shares, Ingalls & Snyder is the largest institutional investor owning 6.50% of the outstanding shares. Other notable institutional names include Susquehanna International Group with 1.11% of outstanding shares.

What Lies Ahead

First quarter developments strengthen MindWalk’s financial flexibility, as the company makes a shift from a discrete project-based revenue model. Margin enhancements, cash flow discipline, potential non-dilutive access to capital could help management to expand ReefIQ’s enterprise reach without any dilution fears for existing shareholders. This preserves value for shareholders in the middle of this ongoing growth phase. However, the company remains loss-making, and execution on ReefIQ’s enterprise adoption remains key.
