Eric Bannasch founded Cadian Capital in October 2007 after working at Richard Perry’s Perry Capital as a portfolio manager for the technology, media, and telecommunications fund. Cadian Capital also focuses on these sectors. Bannasch received his MBA from Stanford in 2003. Eric Bannasch employs a relatively longer term value approach when investing in small and mid-cap companies. Cadian Capital delivered an 11.95% annualized return between its inception and January 2012. Its standard deviation was a bit high at 17.75% during the same period. Cadian Capital lost 9.2% in 2008 and returned 25.65% in 2009, 25.78% in 2010, and 0.53% in 2011. Eric Bannasch had $2 billion under management at the beginning of 2012.
