eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) shares are almost 4% in the green after Deutsche Bank analyst Ross Sandler hiked his price target on the e-commerce company to $40 from $30 per share. Sandler thinks eBay will outperform many of its peers heading into 2017, saying that it is one of the ‘out-of-favor accelerating-growth stories with upside to estimates and a reasonably low valuation’. According to our data, the hedge fund sentiment towards eBay has been stable. and the number of funds with holdings in eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) rose by one quarter-over-quarter to 58 at the end of June.

Traders are watching Viacom, Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAB) and CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) after National Amusements, Inc., the owner of a majority of CBS and Viacom’s voting stock, asked the board of directors of both CBS and Viacom to consider a potential merger between the two through an all-stock transaction. National Amusement believes the two might offer substantial synergies if merged. Viacom was split from CBS in 2005. A total of 41 funds tracked by us held shares of Viacom, Inc. (NASDAQ:VIAB) and 59 funds were long CBS Corporation (NYSE:CBS) at the end of the second quarter.
