Wasatch Global Select Strategy’s Q4 2025 Letter

Wasatch Global Investors, an asset management company, released its “Global Select Strategy” Q4 2025 investor letter. The Wasatch Global Select Strategy underperformed its benchmark in Q4 2025 despite supportive Federal Reserve rate cuts and a strong earnings season that helped the MSCI AC World Index gain 3.29%, with U.S. and Japan holdings acting as primary detractors while positions in Brazil and Taiwan contributed positively to relative returns. For the full year, the MSCI AC World Index advanced 22.34%, whereas the strategy posted only a low single-digit gain despite maintaining solid portfolio fundamentals, including consistent earnings growth and stable ROA and ROE. Management attributed much of the 2025 underperformance to its avoidance of speculative small-cap stocks tied to themes such as artificial intelligence, quantum computing, cryptocurrency, and defense, favoring high-quality businesses with durable earnings profiles. Looking ahead, management emphasized that improving relative valuations and sustained earnings consistency position the strategy for potential outperformance as market leadership shifts back toward quality growth companies.
