Vuzix Corporation (NASDAQ:VUZI) finalized the European Union´s emissions certification process for its latest version of M300 smart glasses last week. The leading supplier of smart glasses, augmented reality and virtual reality products is expected to commence shipping of the M300 immediately after obtaining the certification.
By the end of the year, Vuzix Corporation (NASDAQ: VUZI) should also have obtained the certification for final testing and shipping into the USA, with other major regions of world following throughout the first quarter of 2017. This will enable the company to make volume shipments and meet the demand for the new Vuzix M300, the next generation of smart glasses, which have been designed based on three years of customer feedback from the previous M100.
According to Vuzix Corporation (NASDAQ:VUZI), the M300 model not only offers an advanced ergonomic design, but also presents new features that enable users to operate in an increasing number of situations.
In a recent press release, Vuzix Corporation (NASDAQ:VUZI) President and CEO Paul Travers indicated: “As great as the M100 is, we envision many expanded uses for the M300, including AR applications that will enable enterprise users to streamline a variety of operations and obtain even greater efficiencies.” As demand for smart glasses continues to grow, the company looks forward to fulfilling its customers’ current orders.
